Tasks, priorities and repeats
Tasks are the doing. They can stand alone or hang off a goal, and they can repeat.
Repeats cover four shapes: every day, certain days of the week, monthly on a date, and once a year. Deliberately not more. "Every second Tuesday except in months with five weeks" is a calendar problem, not a planning one.
The next occurrence is created when you tick the current one off, not on a schedule. A repeating task you are ignoring therefore never quietly builds up forty copies of itself waiting for you.

Questions
-
I set a task to repeat monthly on the 31st. What happens in February?
It uses the last day of the month. It is never silently skipped.
-
How do I stop something repeating?
Open the task list and use the stop control on the task. Everything already created stays where it is; only future occurrences stop.
-
Why did my completed repeating task disappear from the list?
It is under the Done filter, and a fresh one has been created for the next date.
